Overview

The Transfer Manager Oversees and directs the outbound product from Chadwell Supply distribution centers, including checking and counting product to be shipped against picking orders and transfer purchase order documents for quantity and shipment accuracy. The Transfer Manager is responsible to ensure that all products are properly labeled, packaged and palletized for shipment to Chadwell Branches. All product shipped must be processed in Chadwell Supply computer operating system expeditiously to ensure efficient receiving capabilities at Chadwell branches.

Daily work schedules vary according to business transactions and customer needs. Work shifts may include and require late night, early mornings, weekends and holidays.

How you will make an impact

• Obey and abide by all Chadwell Supply policies, procedures and guidelines whether oral, written or implied.
• Prepare, communicate and expedite branch transfer product replenishment paperwork and shipments.
• Compile and complete change processes that occur daily as part of the branch transfer shipping system. This includes computer data entry and communication of changes to Chadwell Branch receiving personnel and other Chadwell Supply departments as required.
• Serves as the primary point of contact between the Chadwell Distribution Center and Chadwell Supply branch warehouse receiving personnel.
• Strive to provide excellent customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate product selection, checking and preparation of transfer paperwork and documents in addition to communication with company personnel
• Assist with product selection and transfer product packaging and palletization to ensure order pulling and shipment efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure that all transfer shipments are accurately recorded and tracked in the Chadwell Supply computer operating system.
• Responsible to work with management on transfer shipment process changes as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need

• Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Have previous employee supervision experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse/delivery working environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer literacy and experience are required for this position.
• Have the ability to learn and adapt to changes in work processes and able to train all employees on changes as they occur.
• Be in good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, able to climb steps and ladders and capable of bending, stooping and carrying products up steps, stairs and down ramps and walkways.
• Have previous experience operating warehouse equipment including sit down forklifts, standing forklifts, and standing order selectors.
• Have previous management experience of 4 or more people.
