USALCO La Porte Plant, LLC is a major unit within the manufacturing network of a leading provider of aluminum-based component products used in water treatment, pulp and paper manufacturing, the making of catalysts for oil refining, the housing market and other sectors. The right individual will have a can-do attitude, the ability to be part of a team while operating independently, and consistently performs to very high standards.
JOB SUMMARY:
The person in this role is responsible for coordinating and executing the maintenance activities for the La Porte Site, while assuring compliance is achieved in all company associated policies. The position requires a motivated, detail oriented, and results driven team player who:
- Incorporates safety and quality into every decision while performing day-to-day activities.
- Can efficiently maintain chemical process equipment to meet manufacturing requirements and achieve maximum productivity without compromising safety or quality.
- Will actively seek out opportunities for process/mechanical improvement and take full responsibility for collaborating with management and peers to implement approved changes in a timely manner.
- Effectively utilize CMMS software to electronically manage and guide maintenance activities from work order creation, work order completion, spare parts inventory, and asset management.
The individual in this role must be able to work independently or with others in the plant to meet organizational goals. Safety, Quality, and Productivity are paramount concerns.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBITIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Requires organizational and planning skills to effectively complete assignments.
- Must be dependable, flexible, and able to respond on short notice to satisfy requirements of customers.
- Requires good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong Analytical and Mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate with others clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in written form.
- Boiler License City of Houston Grade 2 Stationary Engineer a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Chemical-preferred, Oil and Gas Industry environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience and/or successful completion of a technical/mechanical diploma program and/or mechanical certifications.
- Ability to effectively work with Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel and Outlook.
The Ability to:
- Routinely lift 50 to 75 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Routinely stand 60 to 70% of shift.
- Routinely traverse the site to various buildings by foot.
- Routinely have to travers ladders, catwalks, and close quarters.
- Work at elevated platforms as high as 150 without hesitation or fear.
- Work inside confined spaces.
