About the RoleProduction Associate (Cylinder Loader) – responsible for the safe and compliant handling of high‑pressure and liquid gas cylinders. Duties include loading and unloading cylinders onto and off trucks, ensuring all actions meet federal, state, and local regulations as well as Airgas safety procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare and verify outbound shipments for delivery trucks, including verifying truck inventory, inspecting and replacing straps on cylinder pallets, and reporting daily shipment status.
- Coordinate and organize various gases and cylinder sizes onto pallets to minimize load footprint; sort incoming empty cylinders into correct size and gas groups as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment by understanding hazards of gases, cylinder sizes, and contents, and by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and color coding.
- Operate warehouse and material‑handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Some forklift experience preferred.
- Valid U.S. employment authorization; no visa sponsorship required or available.
- Ability to perform heavy work, routinely lifting 25–75 lbs., and occasionally 76–100+ lbs. with lifting device.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather for extended periods.
- Ability to read and comprehend written documentation and communication.
- Must obtain forklift certification.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
