As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization Driver in La Porte, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing site entry, verifying credentials, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support security-related operations with integrity and teamwork.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access-related events, incidents, and irregularities in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
