Job Duties & Responsibilities- Willing to travel 50%–75%
- Assist with tank qualification on railcars
- Work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks
- Perform and coordinate railcar repairs and maintenance
- Operate forklift/telehandler as needed
- Prepare railcars for visual inspections (grinding, torching, buffing)
- Interpret work orders and blueprints for repairs
- Use mechanical skills for welding, cutting, and gouging
- Report needed materials or equipment
- Follow safety rules and maintain clean work areas
- Ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, ARS, and customer standards
- Complete other assigned duties as required
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
