Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels/All Shifts at our site Laporte Texas. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, less for a mechanic to have to learn to become proficient and… we can train the right candidate!

• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs.
• Perform maintenance related work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Heavy truck repair
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair
• Forklift or construction equipment repair
• Automotive maintenance and repair
• Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.

Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available.)
