Service Repair Technician

Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour, eligible for quarterly performance bonus.

• Service and/or repair vacuum trucks and other types of heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Perform some welding and fabrication as required (mig, stick, plasma, torch cutting).
• Read and understand technical instructions (blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and work instructions).
• Operate overhead crane, hoist, forklift, and miscellaneous air and electric hand tools and measuring instruments as required to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Complete shop maintenance during downtime.
• Enter jobs into computer system in alignment with company processes.
• Communicate updates on equipment to Supervisor.
• Order parts.
• Work in alignment with all company and OSHA safety policies.

• Ability to assemble components per drawings and/or verbal or written instructions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose all systems related to a complete vacuum system.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications, maintain a clean and safe workplace, and work in a manner deemed safe for self and others.
• Willingness to work overtime when requested.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude is required. Ability to read blue prints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
