Collections Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly Excel reports tracking Accounts Receivable activity, progress, and trends by customer, business region, and coordinator.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer disputes efficiently, maintaining open and consistent communication with operations teams regarding short-paid or disputed invoices.
• Develop and implement reporting tools to track internal department action items related to collections.
• Minimize bad debt exposure by assessing new orders exceeding customer credit limits, working alongside the Credit Analyst to develop informed credit decisions.
• Provide exceptional customer service, managing inbound calls from internal and external customers with a problem-solving approach.
• Maintain accurate records of communication in the AR system.
• Utilize company databases and software to support efficient collection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance the collection workflow.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and optimize accounts receivable operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 plus years of experience in billing and collections or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
