From front desk coordination to surgical support, each team member plays an essential role in meeting the unique needs of our patients and clients.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Doctor's Assistant (DA) to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can work independently with minimal supervision. This role offers excellent growth potential, with opportunities for career development and advancement into leadership based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general nursing support alongside veterinary technicians and doctors
- Accurately collect and record patient histories during intake and in exam rooms
- Present and review treatment estimates with pet owners in a clear and compassionate manner
- Educate clients on at-home care instructions and treatment plans
- Safely restrain animals during examinations and treatments
- Perform basic in-house diagnostics and assist with radiographs
- Dispense medications and clearly explain usage and follow-up care
- Administer oral and subcutaneous medications as directed
- Triage urgent and critical care patients to assist in prioritizing care
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant or similar role
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- A calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor
- Interest in developing technical and leadership skills within the veterinary field
