The Keethanow Group of Businesses Department is now accepting applications for the following Permanent Full-Time and Part-time Position based out of La Ronge
:

Baker – 5

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

Work with a positive, professional approach and attitude toward public & employees

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Prepare, wrap, price and stock product as required and assigned

Maintain and display all types of meat and/or bakery products according to standards

Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures and clean equipment regularly

Be familiar with and adhere to all sanitation and personal hygiene policies of the Health & Safety Guides and Government legislation

Advise the supervisor when orders for replenishment of inventory is required and to keep proper mark-down reports

Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

Bake mixed doughs and batters

Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods

Ensure quality of products meets established standards

Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce

Purchase baking supplies

May oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods

May hire, train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent (preferred)

Must have WHIMIS/Food Safety Handling certificates

Minimum of three months experience in retail

Can follow detailed written or verbal instructions precisely

Adhere to all Health and Safety dress-codes

Mindful of food expiry policy

Willing to participate in all necessary training programs

Willing to work flexible hours

Basic level of bakery knowledge is required
