Tax Associate

Role Overview

Join as a Tax Associate at H&R Block. We provide help and confidence to clients, associates, and communities worldwide.

• Conduct face‑to‑face and virtual tax interviews (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow your tax expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools—video, phone, chat.
• Effective written, verbal, and in‑person communication.
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
