Process Engineer - 1st shift (Quanta Manufacturing Nashville)

Quanta Nashville (QMN) is a leading solution provider in cloud computing and electronics manufacturing. The facility was established in 2003 in LaVergne, TN, and currently occupies nine facilities in the Antioch/LaVergne area with over 3000 employees. QMN continues to grow and innovate in data economics and market expansion.

Purpose of Position: The Process Engineer will be responsible for end‑to‑end processes related to CCBU operation, develop processes, identify equipment, implement process improvements, support new product introductions, and resolve production issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead physical and systemic process improvement projects, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing implementation, and DOE.
  • Support process control and service/repair areas.
  • Evaluate current processes and implement ongoing improvements for efficiency and quality.
  • Validate and test process effectiveness using engineering techniques, design of experiments, data analysis, and statistical analysis.
  • Provide leadership in quality and efficiency efforts with support teams.
  • Develop proven flows and operator work instructions.
  • Perform cost analysis and propose cost‑improvement ideas for production and service areas.
  • Conduct time studies across all areas.
  • Train personnel in processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and cut costs.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions for product, manufacturing, or process issues.
  • Utilize technology to streamline and automate processes.
  • Plan, implement, set up, and monitor equipment for automation.
  • Develop and program automation concepts with appropriate controllers and actuators.
  • Create measures of process control.
  • Implement preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Document production processes.
  • Identify process capabilities and limitations and recommend improvements.
  • Quantify manufacturability and serviceability of new and existing products.
  • Work with product development engineers during and after product introduction.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and service problems.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or related engineering field and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, AutoCAD or related software.
