Job SummaryThe Quality Engineer will handle day‑to‑day containment, inspection, sort gate, rework, parts incoming inspection, and production‑floor quality functions, while supporting Quality/Process/Manufacturing/Engineer personnel with specific requests or concerns. The engineer must maintain quality across all factors, be cross‑trained with different skills, and perform level‑II essentials when needed.
Responsibilities- Report variations to provide feedback to Associates, Team Leaders, Unit Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers to determine root causes and improve process performance.
- Report internal non‑conformances on a daily and monthly basis.
- Provide the Unit with statistical summaries of lots to be included with each shipment.
- Prepare additional reports as required.
- Engage with internal customers, not external customers.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Train operators on part inspection.
- Track or conform material certification compliance.
- Perform dock audits of ongoing products.
- Measure samples.
- Label and repack containers.
- Process high and low lot samples.
- Understand Q‑Pulse.
- Understand the Shipping Status Report.
- Process scrap transactions.
- Support RMA activities.
- Support miscellaneous receipt tasks.
- Process RTVs.
- Back up the Team Leader if not present.
- 2+ years prior experience in quality.
- Familiar with IATF 16949 & ISO
14001 standards. - Proficient in math disciplines to solve mathematical equations used in applied statistics.
- Ability to interpret data, charts, and graphs.
- Proficient with computer software packages, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in an automotive setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.

Base pay range: $95,000.00 /yr – $ /yr.
