Quality Engineer

Overview

Quality Engineer needed for an exciting growth opportunity with a leading automotive plastics manufacturer. The role focuses on day‑to‑day quality functions on the production floor, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Handle day‑to‑day quality functions: containment, inspection, sort gate, rework, and parts incoming inspection on the production floor.
• Assist Quality/Process/Manufacturing/Engineering personnel with specific requests and concerns, maintaining quality across all factors.
• Report variation to provide feedback for root‑cause analysis and process improvement.
• Report internal non‑conformances on a daily and monthly basis.
• Provide statistical summary of lots for each shipment.
• Perform dock audits, measure samples, label/repack containers, and process high/low lot samples.
• Support RMA, RTV, and scrap transactions; backup the team leader when absent.

• 2+ years experience in quality engineering.
• Familiar with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proficient in mathematics, statistics, and data interpretation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with excellent collaboration abilities.

• Experience in an automotive setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
