OverviewThe Test Operations Supervisor will plan and manage day‑to‑day production activities for our Cloud Computing (CC) department in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role requires strong leadership, process improvement, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Purpose of PositionTo oversee production operations for Cloud Computing, directing technicians and associate employees, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work under the Operations Manager’s guidance, performing assignments within defined parameters.
- Implement and maintain a production process that complies with internal documentation.
- Manage, direct, and coordinate CC employees, scheduling daily operations and setting priorities.
- Ensure products are assembled per company standards and Work Instructions.
- Coordinate production activities to meet quantity and quality specifications.
- Train employees on Work Instructions and provide performance feedback.
- Maintain accurate documentation for production and training.
- Direct workflow, schedule work hours, and oversee supervisory functions (hiring, evaluating, disciplining, approving employee transactions).
- Collect, monitor, and maintain performance metrics.
- Support process development and improvement for assembly lines and warehouses.
- Adhere to all Quality System and ISO requirements and corporate policies.
- Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, providing safety training and correcting hazards.
- Ensure all employees wear appropriate PPE and use proper lifting techniques.
- Report all injuries immediately to Human Resources or EHS departments.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years experience in high‑volume manufacturing.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
- Experience in electronic manufacturing preferred.
- Experience writing procedures per applicable regulations.
- Training/experience implementing manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Certification in manufacturing or process improvement preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet).
- Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Strong math, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills.
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
- Team‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
- Work at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours daily.
- Fast‑paced, multi‑level environment.
- Production areas climate‑controlled; occasional work in non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environments.
- Professional yet casual atmosphere.
- Ability to work overtime or extended hours as needed.
