Job OverviewThe Automated Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the fulfillment of customer orders by retrieving and stacking specific products and quantities as specified on the pick ticket and computer screen assigned on a predetermined conveyor or pallet. This role must maintain safety, accuracy, and efficiency while building stable pallets of product in the warehouse’s pick area.
Duties & Responsibilities- Assist and facilitate picking and sorting within the automated environment using computers, software, and complex machines while adhering to all established safety procedures and policies, multi‑tasking, and making sound decisions in a noisy and time‑sensitive environment.
- Collaborate within a team environment to coordinate and organize efficient warehouse processes.
- Adapt to the needs of the role and maintain knowledge of working in different work areas throughout the day while meeting the minimum expectations of those areas, including HQS, Semi‑Automated Lanes, Pallet Pick, and Flow Rack.
- Assist in the daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse, keeping the work area free of trash or debris and cleaning any spillage while following all waste removal and recycling protocols.
- Work safely, accurately, and efficiently to control inventory and keep shrink at an acceptable level.
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of a warehouse in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Ability to coordinate and organize efficient warehouse processes.
- Ability to adapt to needs of the role in different work areas throughout the day and meet minimum expectations.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
- Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
- Ability to work in a noisy, non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
- Intentional self‑starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks value‑add opportunities.
- Flexibility (schedules and hours may change with business demands).
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
