Warehouse Returns Associate

The Warehouse Returns Associate is a role thatoperateswithin the GOVX Fulfillment Center (GXFC) locatedin La Vergne, TN. Thispositionis responsible for receiving and processing returned shipments ina timelyandaccuratemanner. The associate will match shipping documents and use a handheld scanner toreceiveand process returned orders while inspecting the quality of the items todeterminethe correct process for each item. Inventory will also be scanned todesignatedpickable locations.

This position will also berequiredto perform cycle counts on a predetermined cadence tomaintaininventory accuracy. The associate will also perform inventory checks,maintaina clean and safe work environment, and report any issues to the supervisor.

This position’s work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of GXFC.

• This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Tuesday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch.
• Occasional weekday overtime may be required depending on work volume.
• Receive product correctly using proper documents and unload shipments according to GXFC specifications and quality standards.
• Verify the accuracy, quality, and completeness of each shipment before receiving it in GXFC systems.
• Learn and utilize warehouse equipment to stock inventory on shelves
• Use a handheld scanner to accurately scan barcodes and track inventory.
• Label and load packages in preparation for carrier pickup.
• Follow safety rules and procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the supervisor.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This job operates in a professional environment subject to state and local health ordinances. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as computers, scanners, pallet jacks, and U-boats.

• Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time.
• Must be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• Operate equipment with repetitive motions (i.e., typing, scanning, packaging, etc.).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.

Minimal travel is required for this position.

No supervisory duties for this position.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
