Job DescriptionThe University of La Verne is a private not-for-profit university founded in 1891 located in La Verne, California. The core values that we live by are Ethical Reasoning, Diversity and Inclusivity, Lifelong Learning and Community and Civic Engagement.
This course is designed to provide an overview of the visual and performing arts curriculum as outlined through the California Department of Education for all K-8 students. The main objective of this course is to provide a basic foundation of the visual and performing arts, connect them to the content standards, and explore how to integrate the arts into the classroom.
- Master's Degree
- Evidence of scholarly commitment (conferences, committees, published works)*
- Experience teaching (level dependent upon course)
- Technology Literacy
- Experience teaching the arts, ideally within a K-8 setting
- Background within VPA (undergraduate, graduate, or credential)
- Multiple Subject/Single Subject Credential (experience in the arts and/or art integrations
- Evidence of knowledge (coursework or experience) with multiple fields within the Arts (music/theater/dance)
- Graduate degree (Art, Art History, Music, Dance, or Drama)
