3. Brook Valley School in La Vista is hiring CNAs. Working hours are 8:45–2:45 during the school year with paid training starting August 1st. Starting pay for the 24-25 school year is $18.12/hour with increased starting wages for additional education.

- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Regular and dependable in‑person attendance is required and is considered a condition of employment.
- Perform medically related duties as requested, which could include feeding, tube feeding, CPR, suctioning, toiletry duties for student as required, and therapy assistance.
- Assist with classroom arrangements.
- Maintain the daily routine and assist the teacher, speech‑language pathologist, and other professionals in carrying out planned activities.
- Gather and prepare materials for individual students or centers under the direction of the classroom teachers.
- Provide input regarding daily child observations.
- Respond to class needs as teachers work with students on an individual basis.
- Work with students on learning tasks and activities as directed by the classroom teachers.
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks in the room.
- Assist students with activities of daily living or functional living skills when necessary and support health‑related activities.
- Participate in in‑service training and staff development as requested.
- Become familiar with and implement universal health precautions to ensure a safe environment for children and adults.
- Provide own transportation to fulfill responsibilities of position.
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Understand and comply with Brook Valley School Educational Policies, Philosophies and Student Handbook.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, maintain confidentiality and pursue professional growth.
- Communicate areas of concern to classroom teacher.
