Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team.
As a Staff Pharmacist, you play a critical role at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. You are accountable for supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, and for the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.
Responsibilities- Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
- Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy during bench shifts, enhancing performance through coaching and consistent follow‑up.
- Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails at every workstation.
- Provide compassionate care and coach the team to collaborate with patients’ healthcare teams and resolve insurance or medication issues.
- Deliver immunizations proactively and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on protecting cold chain products.
- Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and raise issues to the Pharmacy Manager or Rx DL as needed.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs and support schedule writing as directed.
- Maintain and expand clinical and technical skills through required trainings and CMEs.
- Provide pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Pay attention to detail and maintain focus on tasks to ensure patient safety.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly team orientation.
- Use clear verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues.
- Apply mathematical reasoning for medication calculations.
- Resolve patient and colleague issues effectively.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and operating pharmacy machinery.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
- 1–2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy or customer‑service setting.
- Willingness to work in other locations across the market as business needs require.
40 hours
Pay Range$60.00 – $71.00 hourly base rate. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. This position is eligible for total compensation components including bonus, commission, or incentive programs.
