AboutThe Role
Warehouse Associate – La Vista, NE (Full-time)
Thorp Controls Automation Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations at our La Vista, NE location. This hands‑on role focuses on receiving, picking, shipping, assembling, and delivering electrical automation parts, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
What You’ll Do- Receive, pick, pack, and ship electrical automation parts for timely order fulfillment.
- Perform minor assembly tasks as needed.
- Deliver products to local customers when necessary.
- Assist with cycle counts and annual inventory audits in coordination with the Purchasing Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Learn and utilize warehouse management software for inventory tracking.
- Safely handle materials, including lifting/moving up to 75 lbs unassisted and performing tasks that involve standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods.
- Work collaboratively with team members at the La Vista warehouse and other Thorp Controls Automation Solutions locations.
- Look for opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
- As time permits, gain experience in inside sales support.
- No prior warehouse experience required, but experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving is a plus.
- Product knowledge is not required, but may be considered in compensation evaluation.
- Basic math skills and ability to learn and operate inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs unassisted and perform warehouse-related physical tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
