Enhance language learning in Labrador as an English Additional Language (EAL) Teacher. This full-time position emphasizes student assessment and tailored instruction from September 2026.
Join the Labrador Regional Office in a full-time role dedicated to supporting students in their English language development. The EAL Teacher will deliver approved curricula while collaborating with educators and families. This position requires travel between schools and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess English language learning competencies regularly
• Provide direct instruction in class and small groups
• Collaborate with teachers to improve student outcomes
• Implement effective teaching strategies and feedback
• Support language and literacy development across cultures
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education degree required
• NL Teaching Certificate - Level IV or higher
• Major in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
• Valid Driver’s License for travel between schools
• Knowledge of trauma-informed teaching practices preferred
