Utility Worker - mths Lab West

Position Title: Utility Worker I (10 months, Permanent, 35 hrs/wk) – Lab West

Location: Menihek High School, 613 Lakeside Drive, Labrador City, A2V 2W9

Competition End Date: July 3, 2026

The Utility Worker I is responsible for the daily cleaning of schools, including mopping, cleaning washrooms, classrooms, windows, etc. This position also operates cleaning equipment, handles snow clearing and ice control, and performs other related duties as assigned.

• Daily cleaning of school facilities (floors, washrooms, classrooms, windows)
• Operate equipment for cleaning tasks
• Snow clearing and ice control
• Other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Recent experience in a commercial cleaning environment
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, materials and equipment
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
• Physical abilities consistent with job requirements
• Ability to work as a team player and independently
• Reliable transportation

Salary as per the NAPE Collective Agreement (CG-19: $20.86 - $22.51 per hour), plus applicable shift differential.
