Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our team in Lacey, WA! This position is responsible for supporting daily payroll operations, ensuring accurate payroll processing, reviewing attendance records, and assisting with payroll reporting in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

• Review daily attendance records for staffing agency employees within the distribution center.
• Review and submit weekly attendance reports for management approval.
• Oversee employee incentive payments to ensure accuracy.
• Process biweekly payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare weekly payroll cost reports for accounting and management.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Review, research, and approve payroll adjustment requests and payroll-related documentation.
• Audit weekly staffing agency invoices and labor-related expenses.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Assist with additional administrative and payroll-related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll or related experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to navigate the facility, including climbing stairs as needed.
• Must be comfortable working in an office setting within a distribution center.
