We are hiring a Journey IT App Developer supporting the Finance, Technology, and Analytics Administration (FTAA).
Some of What You’ll Enjoy Doing- Analyze system at an expert level: collecting and reviewing information to determine the nature and scope of effect of proposed changes to system, aiding the executive management team in decision making.
- Provide feasibility and level of effort estimates on requested work.
- Develop work breakdown structure.
- Plan/Assign development tasks.
- Design, develop, code and test systems to meet the requested work in Java Technology at an expert level.
- Lead design, develop and modify system interfaces with internal and external agencies using web services.
- Perform threat modeling and code scanning using tools and fix any identified vulnerabilities.
- Facilitate peer code review process.
- Create and support multiple application environments.
- Record work progress in issue tracking tools.
- Review/prepare release checklist to coordinate application release activities.
- Release application to Java application server.
- Identify documentation needs and ensure system documentation and program specifications are up to date.
- Six years of information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment, directing projects, providing customer or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff who performed work in any of these information technology disciplines. (A bachelor’s degree closely aligned with Information Technology may substitute year-for-year for the above experience up to four years).
- Four or more years of hands‑on Java programming experience building web applications (with Servlets/Java Server Pages/Tag Libraries/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc. and frameworks like Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Angular) and desktop applications (using Swing, Reflections, JDBC, Web Services).
- Three or more years of TSQL programming including stored procedures.
- Experience with Java application servers (such as Tomcat, JBoss, Web Logic) configuration and deployment tasks.
- Three or more years of experience in Java web application development with frameworks like Angular, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, etc.
- Current chronological resume
