Controller, Management, Financial Manager

Our family-owned contractor in Lacey, Washington is looking for a hands-on Controller to lead a team. This is a leadership role overseeing all accounting functions as well as providing strategic insight to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of accounting professionals who are responsible for accounts payable, billing, collections, and certified + union payroll
• Ensure the accuracy of the team’s work and that it is completed on time
• Oversee and complete the month-end close process – bank recs, fixed assets, etc.
• Produce monthly financials for ownership and present an in-depth overview on a quarterly basis
• Management of the WIP schedule through company software
• Monthly reporting and payments to unions for hours and benefits
• Oversight of a rolling 4 quarter projection for the organization
• Document and review current accounting procedures, then develop new processes as needed
  • Seek to improve the department and implement new processes/procedures to help better the organization
  • Review and establish internal controls
• Assist with the implementation of new inventory software
• Utilize Foundation and identify ways to improve processes using technology
• Must have an understanding that new duties will be added based on business needs that are in line with Controller roles

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Construction, manufacturing, or similar industry experience required
• Previous management experience required
• Willingness to be hands-on
