Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full‑time
Salary: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Mon–Fri most weeks with rotating Saturdays (no nights or Sundays)

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑driven Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment, you’ll be the heart of the hospital—greeting pets and owners, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring a positive experience for all.

• Greeting pets and their humans with warmth and professionalism
• Assisting veterinarians and licensed techs with exams, treatments, and surgeries
• Preparing and maintaining clean surgical and treatment areas
• Monitoring anesthesia under supervision and supporting surgical recoveries
• Helping with X‑rays, lab samples, and pharmacy duties
• Educating clients on post‑visit care and medications
• Keeping records accurate, detailed, and up‑to‑date
• Pitching in with hospital cleanliness and day‑to‑day operations

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment (preferred)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Veterinary Medication Clerk’s License
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence in multitasking in a fast‑paced setting
• Willingness to work rotating Saturdays
• Reliability, professionalism, and a big heart for pets and people
