Delivery Specialist role at O'Reilly Auto Parts

$16.66 - $23.00 per hour

Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

This position will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. It will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles, including daily inspections before operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, handheld devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked and secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, core returns, and stock order setup.
• Assist customers, serve as cashier, or support merchandising tasks when business dictates.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required

• Fast and accurate matching of alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record meeting the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Legally required state driver's license and meeting company driving eligibility requirements.

Desired

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages;
  Spanish highly desired.
