Role:

As the Head Start Lead Teacher, you’ll play an essential role in providing all aspects of a quality child development program with emphasis on the cognitive, social and emotional development of preschool-aged children. Your day will involve:

• Provides quality educational experiences for preschool-aged children by planning and preparing daily and weekly program experiences while considering the needs of children.
• Engages in adult-child interactions that are responsive, supportive, and respectful of children’s needs, development, and play interests.
• Establishes consistent classroom routines and activities.
• Designs and maintains a warm and nurturing classroom environment which meets the standards expressed in National Association for the Education of Young Children and NH Child Care Licensing regulations.

Your role will directly contribute to positive employee experience and efficient operations across the organization.

• Education:
  
  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; or Associates Degree in a related field with ECE coursework, including Child Growth and Development
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience working in an early childhood classroom
• Skills:
  
  Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with young children and their families and ability to relate comfortably to income‑eligible families.
• Characteristics:
  Attention to detail, confidentiality, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace and early childhood classroom experience. Must be 21 years of age.
• Technical: successful completion of criminal record check, CPR/First Aid certification

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional travel between program locations.
