Location: Colonial Theatre (Laconia, NH)

Reports To:
Director, Regional Operations

Salary Range: $ 55,000 – $ 65,000

Our next Manager, Venue Operations will be a dynamic leader who possess creative problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, and the energy to work flexible hours while driving revenue growth and fostering strong community connections.

What is a venue manager?

This leadership position offers the opportunity to manage all operational aspects of a premier live entertainment venue while creating exceptional experiences for artists, guests, and the community.

You’ll be responsible for event planning and execution, staff leadership, client relations, and facility operations while working collaboratively with our regional team to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.

What is expected of you.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all venue events while serving as primary liaison between facility and event stakeholders
  • Provide comprehensive on-site event management and oversight during all assigned performances and productions
  • Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure safe, high-quality events while maintaining budget efficiency
  • Ensure exceptional guest hospitality standards and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with production managers to fulfill all contract requirements within venue constraints and budgets
  • Oversee facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety protocols for pre- and post-event operations
  • Manage food & beverage operations and vendor relationships ensuring compliance with all permits and licenses
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams on insurance certificates, permits, and payment processing
  • Analyze operational challenges and implement strategic solutions to support organizational objectives
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, staff, contractors, municipal officials, and community partners

What you bring to us.

Education:

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in venue operations, live entertainment, professional sports, or related hospitality & entertainment industries (additional experience preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of event management including rental fee structures, show advancement, guest experience, public safety, and accounting practices
  • Leadership or supervisory experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Creative thinking and enthusiastic personality with the ability to identify new events, revenue streams, and community involvement opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications: crowd manager certification, TiPS certification, Serv Safe certification, and other company-assigned certifications

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be on-site for extended periods in various environments, including crowded and high-noise areas.
  • Travel between assigned venues as directed by Director of Regional Operations
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedule
