Manufacturing Projects Engineer - Laconia, NH

Job Summary

This position is responsible for researching, implementing new tooling and manufacturing techniques. Areas of focus include manual and CNC milling, turning, grinding and presswork.

• Initiate and implement projects to improve quality, productivity, reduce costs, improve 6S conditions and provide documented cost reductions throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot and permanently resolve engineering‑related problems, manufacturing issues and product‑related problems with suppliers.
• Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on drawing, process, tooling and CNC programming issues.
• Approve routing and standards change requests.
• Process corrective action requests, participate in deep dives and conduct internal procedure audits as required.
• Provide proper verbal and written reports, project write‑ups and documentation for all projects and tasks including testing of equipment, supplies, and materials as well as follow‑up documentation for cost reductions and variance improvements.

• Technical Degree; ASME or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a metal‑working environment preferred.
• Experience with CNC Programming and tool design.
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma helpful.
