American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and the ability to float across critical care units.
Details- 12-hour day shift, 7a-7p weekdays with every other weekend
- 13-week contract assignment
- Float pool position covering ICU, Stepdown, ED, Med Surg, and Behavioral Health Annex (training provided for Behavioral Health)
- Uses specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun or TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infusers
- No on-call requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (temporary licenses not accepted)
- 2-3 years of ICU experience required, with stronger candidates preferred if closer to 2 years
- ICU and Stepdown experience strongly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
- Must demonstrate ability to work independently and quickly across a variety of care settings
- Driver's license with address matching demographics required for consideration
- Copies of current certifications required
- Float comfortably between ICU and Stepdown units with modified assignments as needed
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Former perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Weekly orientation provided
- Local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
- RTO must be submitted and included with candidate profile
