American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN with advanced tele experience for a 12-hour night shift position requiring an active NH or Compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 4 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be requested to float to the facility on an emergency basis
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Administers Cardizem and Insulin drips (for hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on telemetry

• Active NH or Compact RN license required and in hand at time of consideration (temporary license not accepted)
• BLS and other relevant certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• Documented travel experience preferred

• Provide med/surg and telemetry nursing care to acute care patients
• Weekly orientation schedule
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility may apply as a traveler after a 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references required once committed, with at least 2 from leadership (no peer references)
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local pay rate
