Position Summary:

Under limited supervision, responsible for the timely and accurate pick‑up and delivery of customer parts and related materials, and other essential job functions.

• Responsible for general inspection of the company truck, including minor maintenance as needed.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e., vehicle inspection reports as needed).
• Responsible for prompt and accurate pickup and delivery of customers’ parts and related materials, practicing safe driving standards with state law.
• Responsible for preparing jobs for shipment, loading, and unloading trucks safely and carefully.
• Secure all loads per DOT requirements.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times as determined by the company.
• Follow set procedures if involved in an accident: call authorities, complete accident report (in glove box), and call supervisor immediately.
• Report all Warnings, Citations, and Tickets from any roadside inspection or traffic stops to the supervisor upon return to the home plant.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with both external and internal customers.
• Practice safety, good housekeeping, and assist in the shipping/receiving department as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Perform driving operation function of the business safely and responsibly in accordance with all state motor vehicle guidelines and regulations.
• Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co‑workers, and accept constructive criticism.

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in commercial driving preferred.
• Current driver’s license with clean driving record, and maintain a forklift operator certificate.
• Must pass a commercial driver’s physical.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Work in a sitting position for extended periods while driving.
• Manual dexterity for data entry functions.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Lift 35+ lbs.
• Exposure to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity possible.
• Cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Visual acuity to read documents and computer screens.
• Heed hearing in person and via phone.
