OverviewAs a Mechanical Engineer with DES, you will be given the opportunity to develop professional skills while putting your education and training into practice. With the support of our team of engineers and technicians, you will have access to mentors at all levels.
Key responsibilitiesDesign, development, building, and testing of mechanical systems. Report to the Program Manager and support the execution of projects to include documentation development and risk mitigation. Support internal project teams and external customer relations and vendor management. Act as a brand representative of Defense Engineering Services and portray our values of technical excellence, integrity, teamwork, efficiency, service, and community.
Qualified applicantsThree to six (3‑6) years of experience in relevant technical field including systems and equipment support, and testing and evaluation support of C5
ISR requirements, and one (1) year of technical experience in support of task specific projects. Experience with CAD software systems including Solid Works, Creo, Catia, AutoCAD, and similar programming. Experience in military ground vehicles and vehicle systems and/or aviation and aerospace systems is preferred.
DES is a federal contractor working on specific government contracts that require employees to be U.S. citizens.
