The Ocean Freight Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing pricing strategies for Ocean Export Freight transportation. This involves evaluating quotes, developing pricing models, and collaborating with various teams to ensure competitive and profitable rates. They also monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to make informed decisions associated with Cargo Steering and Strategy Execution.

The Ocean Freight Pricing Analyst plays a key role in supporting daily operations and guiding Customer Solutions Specialists. This position is ideal for a high-performing Analyst who is ready to take the next step by leading with accountability and mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to standard Pricing Duties, the Analyst Lead will:

• Provide daily direction and Carrier Alignment guidance.
• Support onboarding, training, and best practice reinforcement
• Assist with escalations, issue resolution, and service recovery.
• Monitor Cargo Steering compliance for accuracy
• Partner with management to support Ocean Freight Development.
• Contribute to customer-specific Routing and Transit Time Optimization.
• Foster a collaborative, service-driven team culture

• Have working knowledge of Cargo Wise One and Carrier Management.
• Demonstrate strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and a get-it-done mindset
• Skills, abilities, and aptitude to be cross-trained, step in, and contribute.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for quoting, vendor management, and customer interaction.
• Proven ability to interact with all individuals within the organization and be able to communicate information to customers and vendors.
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously under high pressure and within demanding time constraints. Reliable. Punctual. Organized.
• This position is (Onsite) in Ladson, SC.

Education and Experience

• 4-6 years quoting rates in an international forwarding environment
• 4-6 years of forwarding experience with NVOCC pricing and/or foreign agent networks preferred.
• The ability to think creatively in terms of routing; knowledge of carrier strengths and weaknesses.
• Ability to understand and interpret INCOTERMS
• 4+ years’ experience with PC, including Microsoft Office, databases, software, web-based applications, and vendor’s systems.
• 4+ years of experience with freight forwarding basics. Exposure to domestic, warehousing and distribution a plus.
• College degree or equivalent preferred in Supply Chain Logistics or International Business (or internship experience) preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
