The Systems Manager will be an onsite resource at an iA customer location just outside of Charleston in Ladson, SC. The role supports daily operations, troubleshoots and maintains iA equipment at the customer facility, and acts as a liaison between the customer and iA, providing feedback on system performance. For new customer automation systems, the Systems Manager will assist with the initial installation to ensure the system meets customer expectations.
Schedule is Monday - Friday, typically 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
- Monitor system performance
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues; resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
- Provide remote support after hours to the customer as needed
- Collaborate with iA engineering teams and subcontracted vendors to resolve system/component issues
- Monitor dispenser and canister activities; communicate issues to iA’s Counting Technology team
- Conduct firmware updates to system components as available
- Advise customer on system performance, enhancements, and ways to prevent operational risks
- Request and manage parts through the proper RMA process
- Complete software installations, updates, patches, and configure setups for workstations
- Follow customer protocols and SOPs for software installations, changes, and backups
- Complete all preventive maintenance activities within prescribed timelines per iA standards
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in the Automation Industry (robotics, conveyance)
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with hand tools, multimeters, and related tools
- Programming of industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI)
- Proficient in creating and editing SQL queries
- Ability to work independently
- 1-3 years project management experience (preferred)
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm
- Willingness to be on-call for critical customer escalations on a rotating schedule
- Ability to travel up to 12 weeks for initial onboarding training
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
