Assist the Manager in planning and organizing Mercedes-Benz Vans activities related to the availability of USMCA sourced Part‑by‑Part material. Coordinate supply amongst production, purchasing, and suppliers.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement objectives with assigned suppliers regarding parts supply, ensuring these objectives are maintained.
- Formulate and implement a supply chain strategy with assigned suppliers, including coordination of delivery dates and quantities, and countermeasure plans in case of unforeseeable events.
- Provide and direct alternate plans for abnormal conditions, including work stoppages at a supplier, material shortages, rejections, new priorities, etc.
- Maintain a high degree of integrity and fairness in transactions with assigned suppliers/logistics service providers and regularly monitor activity to ensure consistency.
- Develop relationships with assigned USMCA suppliers.
- Conduct VDA audits, capacity management checks, and quality checks with USMCA suppliers.
- Analyze capacity at suppliers and compare against production program; develop strategies and counter‑measures with Supplier, Purchasing and Cost Planning in case of bottlenecks.
- Escalate to local suppliers to resolve shipping, quality, damage, and internal issues at supplier location.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related engineering field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Supplier Quality.

Company OverviewMercedes-Benz Vans, LLC ("MBV") is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that assembles Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brands Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner.
Midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location. MBV has invested more than 500 million U.S. dollars in the new Sprinter plant, which officially opened in 2018.
Today the MBV facility provides more than 1,600 jobs and supports at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 200,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S. since 2006. The U.S. is the second largest market for Sprinter vans.
