Responsibilities

• Develop quality plans from customer requirements, external standards, and internal procedures to mitigate risk and be the contact for customer quality concerns.
• Lead customer scorecard improvements.
• Lead/member of corrective action teams.
• ISO / AS internal auditor.
• Maintain a positive quality reputation with assigned customers.
• Implement containment activities, as required, to protect the customer from repeat non-conformances.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• ISO-9000 or AS-9100 related auditing, inspection & test, metrology, and calibration, print reading & GD&T.
• Process improvement, analyzing information, strategic planning, ability to interact effectively with suppliers and customers.
• Familiar with machining, welding, assembly, and testing.
• Good planning, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Energetic, positive attitude, proactive, process driven, leadership & motivational abilities.
• Works well with others.
• Organized with ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Results driven with emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments.

Education

Associates degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Quality Assurance functions, with adequate experience using inspection and test equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Technician, or Engineer.

Travel Requirements

• Between facilities as needed.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
• Lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted space work area. All Keel locations are tobacco free where appropriate.
