Position OverviewDuring the Full Service Oil Change, the hood technician performs all services in the engine compartment and directs activities in the bay area, ensuring thorough completion and recording of services on the Work Order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work safely, wear safety gear, and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Use Echo System / Echo services and vehicle information.
- Direct the vehicle into the bay.
- Place fender covers on the vehicle.
- Perform light checks and check/fill fluids such as automatic transmission fluid, oil, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, coolant, and battery electrolyte.
- Remove and check emissions components: replace top-side oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter, breather, and radiator cap as applicable. Deliver emissions components to the center manager for customer presentation and install them as needed.
- Perform visual inspections of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, documenting any unusual conditions.
- Perform additional services as needed and conduct final safety and quality checks.
- Record all information on the Work Order.
All crew members are responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties, including mopping, washing windows, lawn mowing, litter removal, snow and ice clearing, and restroom cleaning. Crew members must attend meetings, run errands, and perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
Job Qualifications- Customer service skills and basic literacy (reading, writing, math).
- Verbal communication skills.
- Ability and license to operate motor vehicles.
- Proficiency with mechanical hand tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Minimum of 3 months of actual experience or supervised training as a hood technician required.

Automotive oils, fluids, lubricants, windshield washer fluid, battery electrolyte. - Environment:
Exposure to outside weather, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the shift. - Physical
