Substitute Teacher Opportunities for the 2025–26 School Year. Effective August 1, 2025, Dawson School—a K-12 independent school located just east of Boulder—is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers for the 2025–26 academic year. Substitute Teachers at Dawson play a vital role in supporting student learning by stepping in for regular classroom teachers on a short-term basis. In most cases, substitutes will follow the established lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure continuity in instruction.

What Your

Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Follow lesson plans and instructions designed by the absent teacher
• Supervise school or student activities
• Enforce school and class rules to maintain order in the classroom
• Operate equipment such as computers or audiovisual aids to supplement presentations
• Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

This temporary position offers an hourly wage of $22.00, with a minimum guarantee of three hours of pay for each day worked. While the position is not benefits-eligible, lunch is provided at no cost. Substitute teaching opportunities are available on an ongoing basis throughout the school year.
