Job Title:
Software Support Engineer I
The Software Support Engineer will act as 3rd tier support, representing the R&D team in investigating and supporting products in the field. This customer-facing role requires professional communication and presentation skills. The engineer will address support requests, which may require travel to customer sites to understand their operating environment and identify root causes of field issues.
Responsibilities- Become a subject matter expert on the full suite of product offerings.
- Engage remotely and on-site with customers to investigate and document product issues.
- Collaborate with support and services teams, providing technical documentation as needed.
- Provide support and code changes for the cloud-based demo website used for sales and training.
- Thoroughly document and share field observations with the R&D team.
- Engage in Beta Pilot and Limited Market Release efforts for new products.
- Collaborate with engineers cross-functionally to develop new product features and capabilities.
- Be available for after-hours or weekend support in emergency customer situations.
- Provide guidance to customers on configuring their environments for optimal product use.
- Support efforts to ensure products are available for demonstration by the Sales Team.
- Examine product code to identify root causes of issues and develop fixes.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews of field issues.
- Provide feedback to the R&D team on how to make products easier to deploy and support in the field.
- Travel to customer locations with minimal notice when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science.
- Experience with C# programming language or similar.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in written form.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Experience with non-relational databases such as Mongo
DB. - Experience with Rabbit
MQ or similar messaging systems. - Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Active Directory for authentication and authorization.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMWare and Azure.
- Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
The position is based in Lafayette, Colorado, with 40 hours per week on-site for four days and one day remote. Up to 50% travel may be required to customer locations. The role involves working with patient monitors and Remote Monitoring and Connectivity solutions, helping to improve patient outcomes globally. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 – $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
