Estimator​/Project Manager

Job Overview

Apply for the Estimator/Project Manager role at The Kelly Group. The position is located in Lafayette, Indiana. The Kelly Group seeks candidates with 1 to 3 years of estimating or project management experience, preferably in the construction industry. Recent graduates or candidates nearing the completion of a degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management are also encouraged to apply.

• Estimate civil, structural, and mechanical projects with a focus on concrete foundations, structural steel, and heavy equipment setting.
• Supervise and direct superintendents and workforce.
• Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand project constructability.
• Perform contract and subcontract review and negotiation.
• Conduct pre-job meetings with superintendents to review scope of work, scheduling, manpower requirements, work sequence, special requirements, and safety.
• Monitor ongoing jobs for costs, profitability, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain safety awareness and reinforce safe behaviors with superintendents and workforce.
• Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the company insurer.

Hands‑on knowledge of estimating software, scheduling software, cost distribution, and common contracting procedures is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record acceptable to the company insurer.
