We are seeking a Full‑Time dedicated and skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our Collaborative Anesthesiology Team in Lafayette, Indiana. Employment Opportunity Details
  • Above average base salary, retention bonus, performance/metric bonus and option for additional shift work for pay

  • Occurrence‑based malpractice coverage
  • All cardiopulmonary bypass cases are done with a solo cardiac anesthesiologist
  • Adult cardiac cases: cardiopulmonary bypass, mitral valve, DaVinci thoracotomies, thoracotomies, TAVR, SAVR and vascular cases including: abdominal aortic aneurysm, aortic endograft, vascular bypassing (
    * list not comprehensive)
  • Familiarity with transesophageal echocardiography is required
  • Call will be equitably distributed; the week is taken one week at a time with very rare callback or work past 3 pm; call is taken from home, in‑house not required
  • No obstetrics
  • 8 weeks vacation/PTO
  • Practice solo (60 %) or medical direction of general cases (40 %), with ideal coverage of 1:3, some 1:2, rare 1:4
  • Peripheral nerve blocks are a must with strong ultrasound regional skills required
  • Patient draw base over $500,000
  • Level 3 trauma center
  • Wide variety of cases—almost all except major trauma and transplant
  • Wide variety of ages: pediatric (healthy) 6 mo and up

Qualifications
  • BC/BE, ACLS, BLS
  • MD/DO Indiana License or eligible
