As an Engineering Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Leading on discipline/technology/process, keeping cost, schedule and performance objectives in mind.
Assisting portfolio planning and long-term strategy.
Performing management activities to attract, hire, supervise, and develop individual contributors to meet the goals of the group.
Participating at external meetings and presenting at large internal meetings/forums.
Modeling, teaching, and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
This job might be for you if:
You have a B.S. in an Engineering field or equivalent combination of education/experience
You have 8+ years of related engineering or management experience
You show a strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies
You have a demonstrated ability to design/produce/support successful products/processes
You can manage product line/process problems requiring creativity, ingenuity, and guidance from manager
You have a strong desire to develop employees and lead projects
You can define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems

T his position is located at SEL’s newest manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN. Residents enjoy a mix of suburban and urban environments, as well as a short drive to Indianapolis and Chicago. West Lafayette is a great place to call home.

Pay Range Data:
New hires generally start between $90,000 - $142,700. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
