Join a growing, technology-driven manufacturing company in Lafayette, IN as a Customer Solutions Engineer. In this key customer‑facing role, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, quality, and innovation—helping ensure product excellence, resolve quality issues, and strengthen customer relationships across emerging EV markets.
What You’ll Do- Identify and analyze root causes of quality issues internally and within customer applications.
- Develop and implement effective solutions, from process improvements to product design modifications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify performance trends.
- Design and execute quality control systems to ensure consistent product standards.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain key documentation such as quality plans, reports, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality management systems (IATF 16949).
- Lead or support customer visits, audits, and on‑site troubleshooting—traveling to customer locations as needed (approx. 50%).
- Continuously seek opportunities for process and product improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer‑facing engineering or quality‑focused role.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and product applications.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for working with customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Minitab and statistical analysis tools.
- Automotive or EV industry background.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards.
- Full relocation assistance available.
