Co-op - General Engineering Lab and Test Engineering

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Participate in a rotating 3-semester Co-op program alternating work and school semesters, starting January 2027, working onsite Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week in Lafayette, Indiana.
• First Rotation (General Engineering Lab):
  • Compliance Testing and Applications (80%) including theory and practical application of Revenue Metering, Compliance Engineering and Testing Methods, data collection and analysis, interpretation of standards, test equipment calibration, and engineering evaluation of components and products.
  • Continuous Improvement Project (20%) focused on test system design and automation, including system integration, design, and assembly.
• Second Rotation:
  • Advanced Compliance Testing and Applications (50%).
  • Continuous Improvement Project on test system design and automation (50%) with current projects such as automation of environmental chamber testing, test matrix database, Hexing Rack Upgrade Phase II, temperature rise automation, WECO testing automation projects, verification of meter constant/billing accuracy automation, IEC EFTB calibration fixture project, and Co-op training documentation modernization.
• Third Rotation:
  • Advanced Compliance Testing and Applications (20%).
  • Continuous Improvement Project (80%) with similar projects as the second rotation.

The company is looking for:

• Undergraduate students enrolled in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related majors with an expected graduation date of 2028 or later.
• Proficiency with personal computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Local candidates near Lafayette, Indiana preferred due to lack of housing assistance.
• Master’s level students will not be considered.
