Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 18+ months of recent experience, ARRT(R), and BLS certification for a day shift assignment in a short-term acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based interventional radiology unit within a short-term acute care environment
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures on patients across the pediatric to geriatric spectrum
- Required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
- Schedule consists of 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required for 10 shifts per month, with call including weekends every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Cerner EMR charting required
- May be required to scrub into procedures as needed
- Will treat and interact with patients from pediatrics through geriatrics
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays as part of the assignment
- Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
- Returning perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before consideration as a traveler
- Free parking is provided
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent experience as an IR Tech
- Current ARRT(R) certification required
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI accepted
- Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license in Radiology Technologist or proof of valid application for pending license if applicable
- Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during special exams
- Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt positioning for patient condition
- Travelers' university must be ACEN or CCNE accredited at the time of graduation
- License required if applicable
