Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with self-scheduling

• Patient ratios:
Medical Surgical patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 (acuity based)

• Must have experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker procedures

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must have solid neuro experience

• Care for mixed acuity unit including medical surgical and progressive care patients

• Handle oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients

• Manage cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips

• Care for unstable stroke patients and BiPap patients

• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• Dress code:
Red top, black bottoms

• Charting system:
Cerner (preferred experience)

• 1 year of experience required

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Weekend coverage required

• Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start

• Indiana residents not accepted for this position

This short-term acute care hospital operates 194 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility features a dynamic mixed acuity progressive care unit that serves 29-31 patients daily across 31 beds. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The facility specializes in caring for adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary diagnoses.
