SAP Basis Administrator - System Development Position Summary

SAP BASIS Administrators are responsible for the management of the SAP technical environment. SAP BASIS Administrators configure, monitor, tune and troubleshoot the technical environment, and administer the SAP transport system to move code and other changes between environment levels to ensure system integrity. SAP BASIS administrators also manage SAP users and security.

• Perform or coordinate the installation, management, and maintenance of all SAP S/4
  
  HANA softwares and services both in development and production landscapes
• Monitor the SAP environment for technical and performance issues; troubleshoot and resolve those issues
• Manage the SAP transport system to properly promote configuration and development objects
• Support SAP Security administration, including role management, user provisioning, and ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements
• Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, and profiles
• Perform SAP client administration as needed
• Perform or coordinate software updates, hot packages, kernel upgrades, and security patches
• Support backup, recovery, and high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies
• Participate in planning and implementation of major SAP and related system upgrades
• Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager
• 24/7 support as needed during upgrade or refresher periods; provide on-call support for critical incidents and planned maintenance windows
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support integration between SAP S/4
  
  HANA and other applications
• All other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands on SAP Basis Administration experience
• Experience with patching, upgrades, kernel changes, and system performance tuning
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts and user administration
• Proficiency in SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and system refresh processes
• Experience with HANA database administration and optimization

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager (Sol Man) for system monitoring, EWA, and ChaRM
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP GRC, and integration technologies
• SAP Basis/SAP HANA certifications
